Wow! I can hardly believe it’s happening, but the first, annual Yorkshire Brick Show has turned from an idea into a reality. Featuring impressive creations with LEGO bricks from Adult Fans of LEGO (AFOLs) from around the country, nay, the world, the Yorkshire Brick Show is set to be the largest annual display of LEGO models and creations that Yorkshire has ever seen.
Taking place on the 22nd and 23rd February 2014 (which by the way is smack bang in-between the districts’ split half term school holidays), it is definitely a date for your diary.
There will be models galore from all themes in the LEGO universe, including City layouts, Trains, Star Wars and more. There will certainly be something for everyone. Aside from all that, we are preparing 2 special themes in homage to the National Coal Mining Museum, where the event will be held; The first is “Coal Mining Through The Ages”, which speaks for itself. The second is a nod to the Miners’ Strikes of 1984/85, “80′s Pop Culture” – featuring models that pay tribute to the decade that changed the face of Coal Mining forever.
What’s more, there will be loads of activities for the kids (and grown-ups) to get involved in, whether it’s in our build zone, attending one of our “Meet the Builders” presentations, or taking part on one of our fantastic competitions to win fabulous LEGO prizes, combined with the fantastic attractions at the National Coal Mining Museum, you’re guaranteed a grand day out!
